Great Work

How can you use your mind to escape negative thoughts?

When you set out to do Great Work, negative thoughts will creep up.

You're not good enough. This doesn't matter. No one will care.

To rise above them, understand that your mind has two layers:

  • The Lower mind reacts based on past experiences.
  • The Higher mind lifts you out of these conditioned patterns.

Negative thoughts are the lower mind replaying old programs. But you're not obligated to run these patterns. You can choose to direct your mind towards higher thoughts instead.

One way to redirect your negative thoughts is to use a mantra:

I can handle this.

I will honor this.

This too shall past.

Not my will, but thy will.

Start with the little things. Someone cuts you off in traffic. The weather isn't how you want it. Someone says something that rubs you the wrong way.

Your mantra is a signal to relax in the face of whatever your mind is doing. The energy that was about to get caught in negativity rises up inside you instead.

This is transmutation of energy.

Over time, the negativity will dissolve and the mind will naturally quiet down because it will not receive reinforcement.

One day you'll look back and realize the things that used to bother you don't have the power to anymore.

You reclaim your attention to focus on what really matters: Great Work.
